Guidance & Counseling
Saint John's High School’s Guidance Office is devoted to helping all of our students succeed.
We are here to help with any questions or concerns you may have about your classes and school activities as well as any worries or troubles in school or your personal life. We are also here to help you plan for your future career and college goals.
We help guide your class schedules to make sure you find classes that match your interests and challenge you, while also creating a 4 year plan through ECAP making sure you are taking the classes you need to graduate. We also help make sure you have the courses you may need for the colleges or trade schools you may want to attend after graduation.
The Guidance Office is also your go-to place for information on academic testing, college and career planning, and finding scholarships and financial aid through our student led CCR program.
We want parents and students to feel free to come and talk to us anytime while you are at Saint John's High School. We are here for you.
Guidance Counselors Tips and News
Registration for New Students:
If your student is new to Saint John's Unified School District, you may go to our registration page to print enrollment forms, birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residence are required in order to enroll. If you are able to bring your student’s transcript from their previous school (those enrolling in grades 10-12), it will speed up the process of registering them in the correct classes. Otherwise, we will request transcripts from their previous school, and their counselor will complete their schedule when we know what classes they need. If the student(s) will be living with a relative who is not their guardian, you must fill out and notarize the temporary guardianship document. Also, if the student will not be living in our school boundaries, but wants to attend Saint John's High School, you must fill out and return an open enrollment form. If you have any questions about this process, please contact our office.
Registration for Existing Students:
We would like to inform you of our registration process for the upcoming school year. It will not be necessary to wait in lines to register your students. All class fees can be paid in person at the front office, schedules can be viewed and printed from Parent Portal. For any scheduling questions or concerns, guidance counselors will be seen by appointment only (ext. 1013 ).
Please note that schedules for the 2025–2026 school year will be available on Parent Portal during the first week of August.
As always, please contact the Saint John's High School front office with any questions or concerns!
