The St. Johns Unified School District is a small district located in eastern Arizona, about an hour northeast of Show Low. We enjoy small-town charm and excellence in education, with our students consistently scoring above state average on academic assessments. We’re proud to have earned a “B” grade for our district and an “A” grade for our high school. The hard work of our teachers and students surely shows.
We also offer an alternative to traditional high school, with the St. Johns Learning Center. Here, students who may not be successful in a traditional high school setting can get hands-on assistance as they learn using an online platform.
The teachers at St. Johns USD are both actively involved in our students’ success and in our community as a whole. Our district is truly the cornerstone of our small town and is something we can all be proud of.
What Our District Offers
Just a few of the many resources and support systems available here at our district include:
Computer labs at all our schools
Sports opportunities at the middle and high schools
Reading First to support all of our readers
Fine arts programs
Clubs and activities to engage all learners
The mission of the District is to provide comprehensive, success-oriented learning activities for young people in our schools. These opportunities must be designed to develop the person’s potential in the areas of academic ability and vocation awareness, cultural appreciation, physical well-being, social development, and community contribution.
