Here are a few highlights from this past month.
Þ Alan Tryon and Cooper Heap took 1st and 2nd at the Apache County Spelling Bee. We are super proud of them.
Þ Our 7th grade boys’ basketball team won their end-of-the-season tournament, while our 7th grade girls’ basketball team took 2nd. These two teams have been really successful all year and we are sure proud of them.
Þ The high school’s performance of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers was a huge success. The musical played for four nights, as well as one abbreviated show for the Coronado and middle school. Mendi Parker and her staff did a great job putting together such a quality show in just 9 weeks.
Þ The weight room/wrestling room expansion project is underway. Currently, E.W. Parker’s crew is in the demolition phase of the project. They anticipate the project being completed in August. Here is a picture of the progress (taken from the doorway entering the weight room).
Þ Thirty new water fountains have been installed district-wide, with several of them including bottle fillers.
Our students and staff continue to do incredible things. We are fortunate to have the people we have working for the district.
