This school year 11 NHS members are working toward going to the LEAD Conference in January. LEAD is an annual conference created by the NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Principals) for the purpose of helping student leaders attain resources, skills and inspiration to make an even greater impact in our school and community. LEAD provides students with opportunities for peer learning, expertise-sharing and networking with student leaders from across the globe. Specific focuses of this year’s LEAD conference are expanding leadership skills, re-evaluating mindsets, and leading through service. Additionally, students will be able to build connections with an international network that will help them achieve their goals and provide personal and professional growth. We will be traveling to Washington D.C. for the conference at the end of January. We are looking for help with funding for scholarships, food during the trip, and transportation while we are in Washington D.C. We are encouraging members of the community to donate tax credits specifically for LEAD Conference expenses. Tax Donations can be made at the District Office or online at www.sjusd.net. Please specify through your donations that you would like it to go to the LEAD Conference. Thank you so much for the continued support from our community!
