We made it through the 1st week and it was great! I assure you, your child knows how to get breakfast. They know how to get to their classrooms, and are becoming quite proficient at the morning routine! Please drop your students off in the drop off lane on the West side (back) of the building. Car congestion in the front of the building is making it difficult for residence who live on N. Water St. to pull out of their drive ways and get to work in time. It is also causing a challenge for employees to park their cars. Dropping them off also helps reduce the separation anxiety. Rip off that bandaid and watch them flourish!

HAPPY 1st DAY!!!! Busses are out and running and pickup up students! Cafeteria staff is cooking breakfast! Teachers are making their way into the building and getting set up for the day! We are so excited to welcome another school year! Please be patient with us this first week as we work out all of the kinks with cafeteria service and transportation! It takes some adjusting to get back into the routine and make sure every student gets to where they need to be!

1st day
We loved seeing all of our students last night at Open House! Just a few things to keep in mind for the 1st week of school.
1. Parents are welcome to walk their students to their classrooms for the 1st week only. After that you will drop them off at the back gate. Kinder and PreSchool students can be dropped off in the front office.
2. Parents need to exit the building by 8:15am. That is our official start time and teachers will be anxious to get their day started with their students.
3. If you would like to be a parent volunteer, please complete the form on the district website under the "Come Work For Us" tab.
4. If your student is on any medication that needs to be distributed at school, you must come fill out the paperwork with Mrs. Ashton in the front office.

We are so excited for the 2026-2027 school year and look forward to working with you in doing what is best for kids!!! Thank you for your continued support!

Closing Early
Tonight we got to recognize 18 phenomenal 3rd grade students (not all pictured) at the St. Johns Unified School District Board meeting. These outstanding students were top scorers on the ELA and Math sections of Arizona's Academic Standards Assessment (AASA). We are very proud of their hard work and effort as well as the hard work and effort from the Coronado teachers and staff who have guided them and taught them along the way.

Memorial Day
As we prepare to celebrate the Class of 2026 tonight, here's a look back (see link below) on some of the highlights from the school year. It is impossible to note all of the effort and accomplishments of our students and staff, so we've only been able to include a few of many.

A huge thank you goes out to students, staff, parents, and our whole community for the time and effort they put in to strengthening our schools. We feel so fortunate to live and work here in St. Johns!
