To celebrate we will be having a door decorating contest (sponsored by the Apache County Youth Council) and small mini lessons throughout the week in the classrooms. We would like to encourage all students to wear the color red throughout the week to celebrate!

Free Dental Screenings are happening next week. Many of you completed the permission slip form at the beginning of the year in your "Beginning of the Year Paperwork." If you didn't get a chance to sign your child up and would like them to get checked, contact your child's teacher for a permission slip, or stop by the office.

Homecoming is next week! Oct. 3rd-7th. Here are the Dress-Up days for Coronado Elementary!!!
Attendance on Friday's is extremely imperative, students are assessed and teachers use that data to plan instruction for the next week. Even though it is an early release day, we still have a lot of instruction, teaching, and assessing going on that day. When students are absent, it makes it difficult for teachers to get them caught up. We love seeing your kids and want them here as much as possible. Thanks for all you do as parents! We appreciate you!

This Monday, September 26th from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm will be our 3rd Annual Reading Under the Stars Night. Come in PJs, bring blankets, and get ready to enjoy a night of reading under the stars!!! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please enter on the West side of the school at the Parent Pick-up Gate.
This year at Coronado, we have some pretty amazing High School Student Aides who are doing amazing things: opening milk for kindergartners, making copies for teachers, providing academic support for students one-on-one, and being great role models to the youngest students in the district. We are so grateful for them! If any other high school students would like to join our team next semester, we would love to have you!.

Coronado is in need of 2 one-on-one aides. We would love for you to join our team. If interested, please complete a classified application. You can print one off on the sjusd.net website or stop in at the district office and pick one up. You must also obtain a fingerprint clearance card.

Picture day is coming Thursday September 22nd! Click below to see they flyer!

Our 2nd grade did an amazing job singing at the Apache County Fair this morning! Huge shout out to Mrs. Crosby and the 2nd grade teachers for allowing them to perform and bringing them all back safely to the school. Also a huge shout out to Paul and Felisha Ramsey for donating their delicious Hank's Mini Donuts for the kids. If you haven't tried them, stop by the fair. They are so yummy!
Also- No school tomorrow. Enjoy the fair.
