Girls Basketball will be hosting the Copper Division - 1st Round vs Fountain Hills tomorrow, Feb. 10 @ 7:00pm in the Verl Heap Gymnasium. AIA passes will be the only passes accepted. Last night St. Johns High School's Art Department participated in the Annual Evening with the Arts Talent Show! RVHS, RVMS, a featured artist from RVES and our own SJHS came together to display our art. SJHS featured over 100 artists with their art and ceramics pieces. If you missed the show, we will set up again in St John's this week. Hope you get a chance to see their many talents. These students are truely amazing! Thank you to everyone who participated!

St. Johns High School Boys' and Girls' Basketball both reign as Region Champs! The boys were victorious during their semifinal game against Valley High School (Sanders) this morning, and then battled NPA in the finals this evening to take home the trophy! The girls dominated against Piñon in the semis this afternoon, and wrapped up the regional tournament tonight with a strong victory over Valley High School (Sanders)! Congratulations to these athletes and their coaches!

St. Johns High School will host the 2A North Basketball Tournament beginning today, Thursday, February 5. Girls play Greyhills @ 5:30, Boys play Greyhills @ 7. Tickets are CASH ONLY & are $7 per person (ages 5 & up). Only AIA passes accepted. See attached images for Saturday's Semifinals and Championship game times. A Day Pass for Saturday is $10 (cash only, AIA passes accepted). Go Big Red!

Strength and conditioning student athletes of the week: Shawn Patterson & Ammon Patterson! These guys are all in every day. They show up early work hard the entire class period and do anything extra if they have time. Their dedication is much appreciated!

The Construction I students just wrapped up their Scale Model House project—and the results were incredible! To prove the strength of their builds (made entirely from wood products and wood glue), students put their houses to the ultimate test. Every group was able to stand on top of their model with zero damage. One brave group even took it further and challenged as many students as possible to climb on. They fit seven students on one house! The goal of the project was to simulate framing a house from start to finish, and these students absolutely knocked it out of the park.

SJMS will be having a talent show in a few weeks so mark your calendars and plan on attending!

National School Counseling Week 2026 is February 2–6, and highlights the theme "School Counselors Amplify Student Success." This American School Counselor Association (ASCA) presented week recognizes the vital role school counselors play in fostering academic, social, and emotional growth, while supporting college and career readiness.

Congratulations SJHS Academic Decathlon on winning first place at Regionals! Each team member won multiple medals & Carter Smith, Wallace Pratt & Alan Schuster won top scorer at each of their levels. Carter was the top scorer overall!

Come show your support for the SJHS Academic Decathlon team! The public is invited to watch the Super Quiz at the high school auditorium on Saturday, January 31st at 12:15pm and to stay for the awards ceremony to follow. These kids would love to see you there!

Thank you to the members of our community who donate blood at the NHS blood drive last week! Because of your generosity, Vitalant collected 50 units of blood, which have the potential to impact the lives of up to 110 patients.

This event was one of our most successful to date, exceeding our donation goal by 139%. These drives are managed entirely by NHS students, providing them with invaluable experience in leadership, logistics, and community outreach. We would like to specifically recognize our student managers, Maci Heap and Brinley Finch, for their exceptional coordination and hard work.
