Want a good laugh? Hand seniors puzzles and a glue stick! Today they are piecing together puzzles, then unscrambling the letters on the puzzle to name the occupations of the people in the puzzles. This is all leading up to researching different careers and presenting what they see in their future.

Answering task cards to learn how to complete checks? Ok! This is all in preparation for a career research activity. We are learning real-life skills while working on skills involving teamwork and reading comprehension. I wish you were here to listen to these conversations! Our students are amazing!

Who remembers "Shrinky Dinks"? Mrs. Flake's English students set this year's goals high with a single word, and then they got to make a keychain with it! They wrote their single word on a keychain, and then they shrunk them down so they could keep their word with them all year! We can't wait for them to achieve "Legreatness"!

In Construction 1 and 2, students are meticulously going through the shop. They are taking inventory, refamiliarizing themselves with the tools and studying safety practices and procedures.

The SJHS LLC is teaming up with RVHS LLC and doing an underwear drive for Concho for rivalry week. ❤️🤍🏈⚫️🟡 We are starting now! The losing school's principal has to wear the rival's colors the following Monday, September 15th. Save Mrs. Mo from having to wear the hideous black and gold colors again (we barely lost the rivalry competition last year), and start buying those undies! Drop them off at the SJHS main office before September 10th.

Classes of 1976 and 2001

According to the yearbooks, the Class Officers for the Class of 1976 were:

President- Kirby Mineer
VP- Richard Lee
Justice- Pat Ballejos
Secretary- Linda Cowley
Social Managers- Stewart Davis and Kim Bloomfield

And the Class Officers for the Class of 2001 were:

President- Sarah Aguilar

Just a friendly reminder that it is up to one of your class officers, or a DE FACTO REPRESENTATIVE to take the reins on getting in touch with your classmates and getting the school an approximate total on who'll be attending the luncheon and who they've picked to speak at the assembly, on or before September 15th. Otherwise, we’ll do our best to guestimate on the food and we’ll omit the ten minute speaking slot for that class during the assembly on September 26th.

Mark your calendars. An opportunity to hear a holocaust survivor speak is a big deal. This man's family helped rescue Jews before they were caught and put into a prison camp themselves.
