We are saddened at the passing of one of our former teachers, Ina Overson. Ina was not only an alumnus of SJHS Class of 1991, but she also taught special education, history, and English at the middle and high school. She was a wonderful teacher who had an impact on her students and colleagues that lasted far beyond the classroom.
Our hearts go out to her family, especially her sisters, Tawnya Wood and Brandi Oveson, who both currently teach at SJHS, and her brother, Brent Overson, who serves as our school board president.

From all of us at SJHS, we hope you have a safe and wonderful Christmas break!

'Twas two nights before Christmas break, and all through SJHS,
Not a student was stirring, not even to stress.
The classrooms were quiet, the hallways were bare,
In hopes that the holiday soon would be there.
The teachers were nestled all snug in their rooms,
Wearing pajamas, dispelling the gloom.
With visions of lessons and grades in their heads,
They'd soon trade their desks for their warm, cozy beds.
And so, at SJHS, the teachers and staff,
In their festive pajamas, shared a good laugh.
With holiday cheer and a break on its way,
They wished you all Merry Christmas and a joyous holiday!
