Little League Basketball is in full swing! Its been fun watching them practice and games are now underway. Just a quick reminder for parents/guardians/coaches: Please supervise your children during practices and games and do your best to not let them run through the hallways. On a school campus, kids should be supervised at all times. Our custodian is usually busy working with classrooms unlocked as she cleans and we want to make sure everyone and everything stays safe! Thank you for all you do!
Schools are on a normal schedule this morning. All bus pickup locations within St. Johns city limits are on a normal schedule. Bus pickup locations for the Hunt and Sanders bus routes that are outside St. Johns city limits will be on a 2-hour delay.

We are checking for a propane leak and will need to dismiss all students. If you are available please pick up you students from the parent pick up line.
Propane tanks are low causing a strong smell. Students and staff are outside while maintenance investigates the problem. Busses are being brought in so students can sit in the warm busses.
If you haven't had the opportunity to complete our Parent Satisfaction Survey, here is another chance!!! Paper copies went home with students, or you can also just click on this link and complete it digitally. Please only complete it once per student. We would love your feedback!

We would like to say goodbye to a phenomenal Reading Interventionist!!! Ms. Julie Meyer has been with us for the last two years instructing small reading groups and doing a fantastic job! We are sad to see her leave this position but excited for her future adventures.
We would now like to say Hello to Ms. Julie Meyer who will be serving as a Student Teacher in Mrs. Breonna Ellington's class beginning January 3rd!!! We are so excited to see her grow as a teacher under the mentorship of Mrs. Ellington! The two of them will make an amazing team next semester!
We had a great assembly today featuring "The Masked Readers". Students had a fun time guessing the reader's beneath the masks!! Shoutout to Mrs. Heap (The Parrot), Mrs. Jessop (The Frog), Ms. MacKenzie (The Dinosaur), and Mr. Patterson (The Donkey) for volunteering to read for us!
Thank you to all who contributed to our Community Food Drive. I got to deliver all of your donations to Care AZ yesterday and they are so grateful!!! While we didn't reach our goal of 1000 items, we did make it almost 1/2 way with 488 items, so Ms. Bond took 1/2 pie to the face today!!!
Tomorrow 12/15 is the last day of our food drive!!! We have 319 items. The goal is to get to 1000! If each student brings in at least 4 items we can reach our goal!!! All donations will go to benefit the CAREAZ Community Pantry!!!
Today is our last day of the book fair!!! Stop on by to get great Christmas gifts! 8:30am-3:00pm.
