Great news! The Arizona State Board of Education released school grades over the weekend, and SJMS and SJHS both received an "A" rating. Coronado Elementary does not qualify for a school grade, but their proficiency scores are calculated in SJMS' school grade. Overall student proficiency was up across the district. We are so fortunate to have the teachers, administrators, aides, and other staff members that we have who are so dedicated to seeing students succeed. We are so proud of them!

TONIGHT is a must-watch match between the #1 and the #2 teams in the State. Kickoff is at 7pm at the St. Johns Varsity Field! This game puts a 5-0 Season vs. 7-0 Season where one team will get their first regular-season loss. This very well could be a preview of the State Championship! - Our Ellie Otto leads the STATE in points per game. - Show Low's Raquel Wilson leads the STATE in assists. It'll be amazing! Come out and support our Lady Redskins!

Hello SJ Community, I often worry at our home football games with how many young children are unattended behind the school. We feel very strongly about protecting our students and our young people. Please be aware of where your children are and don't allow them to go on to the softball fields or beyond behind the high school during games. Sincerely, Steven Palmer SJHS Principal

We were disappointed in the wording used in this article in relationship to Coach Thomas. Given that our administration was unaware that this article was being written and that we were never reached out to for comment, we wanted to offer a rebuttal. Coach Thomas never quit on our team. Instead, he willingly stepped up when we were in need of an interim coach at the beginning of the season. He then was a critical piece in finding a long-term coach for our football team and then willingly handed the program over to Coach Dimbatt. In every way, he should be praised for what he did for our boys. Our football program would not be where it is today without Coach Thomas’ willingness, humility, and desire to see the program succeed. Thank you Coach Thomas! https://www.wmicentral.com/sports/defense-powers-blue-ridge-past-st-johns/article_3c059496-1d8b-584c-98e5-6ca16acd283c.htm
