Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will open on March 6th. We will be offering two full day kindergarten classes and one half day kindergarten class next year. Per state statute AS 15-821 (C), students must turn 5 by August 31st.

Our 2nd graders got a pretty amazing valentine poem today written by our very own congressman, Paul Gosar!

We love having your kids here! When they are not here, it is difficult to teach them and even more difficult to get them caught up! Please let us know how we can help improve school attendance for your child. It is also important students arrive to school on time. We've had quite the influx of tardies every morning which can disrupt the flow of class and routines in the morning. Coronado is looking for a 1:1 aide!!! Must have a fingerprint clearance card. We are looking for a fun and energetic person who loves working with kids and knows how to bring out the best in them. Someone who can work 1:1 with a student throughout the day, keep them on task, and help them academically when needed. Valentines have been rolling in for our 2nd grade!!! Only 13 more states to go! Thank you to all who have sent them in, the kids are loving it!

Little League Basketball is in full swing! Its been fun watching them practice and games are now underway. Just a quick reminder for parents/guardians/coaches: Please supervise your children during practices and games and do your best to not let them run through the hallways. On a school campus, kids should be supervised at all times. Our custodian is usually busy working with classrooms unlocked as she cleans and we want to make sure everyone and everything stays safe! Thank you for all you do!

Schools are on a normal schedule this morning. All bus pickup locations within St. Johns city limits are on a normal schedule. Bus pickup locations for the Hunt and Sanders bus routes that are outside St. Johns city limits will be on a 2-hour delay.

Happy 100th Day of School!!!! It's been a great 100 days of learning and we are looking forward to the next 80 days!

Thanks to our 3rd grade teachers and Mrs. Natalie Ingram, our Coronado 3rd Graders will be singing the National Anthem at tonights HS Basketball game at 6pm!!! Come support, they sound awesome!!!

We are checking for a propane leak and will need to dismiss all students. If you are available please pick up you students from the parent pick up line.

Propane tanks are low causing a strong smell. Students and staff are outside while maintenance investigates the problem. Busses are being brought in so students can sit in the warm busses.

Update: All schools are on a two-hour delay this morning. All bus routes within city limits are on a two-hour delay. Bus pickup locations OUTSIDE of St. Johns City limits (on the Hunt/Concho and Sanders Routes) are cancelled for the day. These cancellations include the following pickup locations.
